Food Safety Trainings for Cottage Food Producers

This class will be held at the El Paso County Extension office. You will learn: Basic food safety, Foods permissible under the Colorado Cottage Foods Act, Ingredient labeling and disclaimer requirements, Special considerations for food preparation at altitude, Great resources and contact information. There will be two offerings, May 31st and June 7th. Each class is $40 and will be held at: 17 N. Spruce St., Colorado Springs, CO

Front Range Small Acreage Workshop Series

CSU Extension Small Acreage in partnership with the USDA and NRCS is presenting a series of workshops throughout the summer. The first one will be held on May 29th from 6-8PM at the Greenland Open Space, 1532 East Noe Rd., Larkspur, CO. There will be five other workshops offered throughout the summer. Classes are $10 each.

Gardening Workshops at CALF

CSU Extension and the Colorado Master Gardeners are partnering with CALF to bring you a series of gardening classes throughout the summer. There will be one class offered every month from May through September. Topics include soil preparation, container gardening, perennials, and food preservation.
