Douglas County 4-H Projects

A basic principle of the 4-H program is that learning occurs best through direct experience. There are over 60 project areas available, including Dogs, Horses, Livestock, Electricity, Rabbits, Clothing, Knitting, Foods, Leadership, Model Rockets, Poultry, Woodworking, Wildlife, Shooting Sports, Photography, Entomology, and Gardening ( to name a few) where each child can find an area of personal interest. Security Registration Sign-Up Form 2018 – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is processing Fair ID Badges for 4-H members differently this year. You will NOT need to schedule an appointment through the Extension Office to get your photo taken at the Sheriff’s Office. Simply fill out the form below and take a photo of the 4-H member (shoulders & above), then email both the form and picture to The form and a picture must be emailed by Thursday July 12th at 5:00 pm to give the Sheriff’s Office time to process the badges. Every 4-H member MUST have a Fair ID badge to enter the fair free of charge, and for security purposes. Cloverbuds are welcome to get a Fair ID Badge as well, but children ages 7 or under already get into the fair for free. If your Fair ID Badge from previous years has a picture of a GOAT or a RABBIT, you do NOT need to request a new badge this year. Please contact the Extension Office if you need assistance emailing the form and/or picture.
