The average elevation in the state of Colorado is above 6,800 feet; high intensity sunlight and generally low humidity, rapid and extreme weather fluctuations and diverse soil conditions all combine to challenge Colorado gardeners. We have the resources to help you be successful.
Do you have a question regarding your lawn, health of your tree, or why you don’t have any tomatoes this year? We are here to help. Colorado Master Gardeners of Douglas County are in the office Monday through Friday 9:00am-12:00pm and 1:30pm-4:30pm during the growing season. There is also a Horticulture Agent available to answer your questions.
Are you having trouble with your lawn? You may be able to have a lawn check on site! If you have a problem, please email the Colorado Master Gardener Help Desk with pictures and a description of the issue. Our volunteers will likely be able to give you helpful information to solve the problem. Some may be referred to the horticulture agent for further assessment and discussion for a lawn check. Site visits are $75 for the first hour and an additional $75 for any significant time past that. Final determination for a lawn check is made by the horticulture agent and timing is dependent on the agent’s availability.
