2021-2022 New Grant Program – See Below!

The Douglas County 4-H Foundation is pleased to present our grant program for non-livestock projects. Funding is available for Companion Animals, Shooting Sports, S.T.E.M. and General Projects. Applications will be accepted online only from November 1, 2021 through March 1, 2022 at 11:59pm. Applications, instructions, scoring rubric and list of grants available can be found at the links below. Monies will be awarded on a rolling basis. No monies will be awarded for late or incomplete applications.

Douglas County 4-H Foundation Grant Mission – To encourage Douglas County 4-H youth to reach their fullest potential through educational opportunities, personal achievement and leadership.  To provide funding for projects that enhance the goals and objectives of the Douglas County 4-H program.  To provide funding to Douglas County 4-H youth, clubs and the 4-H Council for projects, scholarships, and other activities that are deemed appropriate by the Douglas County 4-H Foundation and the 4-H Council.

These grants are for the following areas:

  • Companion Animals:
    • Dogs, Cats, Companion Rabbits, Cavy, Horses, Llama
  • Consumer Science Projects:
    • Artistic Clothing, Cake Decorating Contest, Clothing Construction, Creative Cooks Contest, Demonstration/ Speech Arts Contest, Fashion Revue, Food and Nutrition, Heritage Arts, Home Design and Décor, Self Determined, Specialty Foods, Food Preservation
  • General Projects:
    • Filmmaking, Ceramics, Entomology, Gardening, Global Citizen, Horseless Horse, Leadership, Leathercraft, Outdoor Adventures, Photography, Scrapbooking, Sport Fishing, Veterinary Sciences, Visual Arts, Wildlife Conversation, Woodworking
  • Shooting Sports:  
    • Air Rifle, Archery, Caliber Rifle (.22), .22 Pistol, Shotgun, Muzzle Loading, Air Pistol, Outdoor Skills, Western Heritage
  • S.T.E.M.:
    • Computers, Electricity, Robotics and Engineering, Small Engines, Rocketry

Individual Project Grants (One grant request per 4-H MEMBER):

Use this grant form if you are applying for a grant for a 4-H event, workshop, etc. If applying for this grant, please understand that you are expected to offer the grant benefits to the entire Douglas County 4-H. (i.e. If you are having a STEM workshop, it needs to be open to all Douglas County 4-H, not just your club).
