
Douglas County 4-H Buckle Series Shows 2021
Douglas County 4-H Buckle Series is pleased to announce that they will be able to run three small shows this fall to complete the Series.
Pre-registration is preferred and note that if you arrive day- of without an RSVP there is a chance you will be turned away based on the number of competitors. We also reserve the right to cap competitor numbers at any point due to ever-changing COVID protocols as we approach each show date.
All Competitors, Participants, Ground Help, and Spectators MUST:

– Please limit spectators and extra help whenever possible, this will allow for more actual participants and competitors.
– Masks will be mandatory while inside the indoor even while mounted on a horse. Masks will be mandatory outside the indoor in any instance that you are not or cannot maintain 6′ of distance between people non-family members.
– Everyone, including those mounted should maintain 6′ of social distance
– Frequent hand sanitizing/hand washing should be done in addition to avoiding high touch surfaces whenever possible
– Non-Douglas County 4-H Members (youth & leaders) MUST sign a release form (not just riders) prior to or upon check-in at the gate. This is in addition to the general Buckle Show liability waiver.
– All in attendance must check-in at the gate and sign-in with the best contact information (phone number or email address).
– Spectators in stands MUST spread out to maintain 6′ of distance between themselves and other spectators. Similarly – crowding of the ingate will NOT be tolerated.
– Please only send one person to the office to check-in riders
– The sharing of tack and equipment between non-family members is prohibited.
– Trailers should be parked at least 20′ from each other to allow for social distancing while working outside around the trailers.
– There will be NO concessions at this event.
IF PROPER PROTOCOL IS NOT BEING FOLLOWED A WARNING WILL BE ISSUED BY SHOW STAFF. IF THE BEHAVIOR CONTINUES THE INDIVIDUAL WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.
IF PROTOCOL IS NOT BEING FOLLOWED BY A LARGE NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS THE SHOW WILL BE STOPPED AND IF BEHAVIOR CONTINUES THE SHOW WILL END FOR THE DAY WITH FUTURE DATES CANCELED.
We are happy to offer this opportunity, but protocols MUST be followed in order for this amazing opportunity to continue

The Buckle Series
The Douglas County 4-H Open Horse Show Buckle Series is a welcoming, educational, and FUN environment where both 4-H youth and community members alike gain experience working with and showing their horses!
The 2021 Series will offer five shows with overall highpoint awards given out upon completion of the series!

Youth Participation Release Form Required if the youth is not an approved registered member of Douglas County 4-H
Adult Participation Release Form Required if the adult is not an approved registered volunteer of Douglas County 4-H
Everyone in attendance the day of the Buckle Show will have to fill out and turn-in the youth participant or adult participant release forms in addition to signing-in at the office. Additionally, those riding on property will need to fill out the above buckle series release of liability. We know this is a lot and thoroughly appreciate your cooperation in this.
