Welcome to the CSU Extension Office in Douglas County. "Extension" means reaching out and extending university research and resources to meet public needs at the community level. Our goal is to assist you with any question you may have, whether it is about gardening, wildlife, 4-H, or any other needs.

Starting a 4-H Club   arrow

4-H is all about exploration! If you do not see a project or a club that looks like the right fit, you can start a new club.

4-H Clubs require:

  • At least 5 youth (from at least two families)
  • An adult club leader as point of contact
  • A minimum of 2 screened adult volunteers
  • Hold regular educational meetings, usually monthly.

You will receive support from our office and can attend monthly leader meetings to network with other club leaders and share ideas.

Contact us to discuss the process of developing a new club!
