Dog Project
Dogs
The 4-H dog project is designed for members who are interested in learning more about dogs, how to care for a dog, and how to train a dog in basic and advanced commands. The dog project is unique and is not meant to conform to AKC dog show or other professional standards. Dog projects and clubs typically meet once a week in Douglas County 4-H to practice and participate in the training.
Dog Identification must be entered in 4honline.com prior to attending any dog practices

Rabbits
Do you like rabbits? Do you want to learn how to raise and care for rabbits? Then this project is for you. It is suggested that you start with a doe rabbit and extend the project each year that you take the project. You will want to enroll in the fall to prepare for receiving your animal.

Meat Quality Assurance (MQA)
MANDATORY for
- All first year project members exhibiting any livestock project are required to attend quality assurance training. This includes ALL poultry (yes, this includes show birds) and rabbit (yes, this includes show and companion rabbits) members.
- Members in their first year in the Senior division (14-18) exhibiting any livestock project are required to attend quality assurance training. This includes ALL poultry (yes, this includes show birds) and rabbit (yes, this includes show and companion rabbits) members.
If you are required to attend MQA training and fail to do so, you will not be allowed to show livestock at the current year Douglas County Fair & Rodeo or Colorado State Fair.
- 4-H MQA Policy
- 2024 MQA in Douglas County will be held in late April. This is REQUIRED for all LIVESTOCK market, breeding, as well as ALL POULTRY AND RABBIT participants whether is show birds, show rabbits, or companion rabbits.
- We are asking those youth not in Douglas County 4-H to register here!
Members who are not able to attend the Douglas County Training are able to attend another counties MQA Training. HOWEVER, you must contact the counties extension office to ask permission to attend and to confirm the dates are correct.
